Digital Economy

The Digital Economy Department reports to the EVC and is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Nigerian National Broadband Plan (2020 - 2025) and the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy in line with the responsibilities of the Commission and the mandate of the Ministry of Communications & Digital Economy.

Human Capital

The Human Capital Department reports to the EVC and is responsible for the formulation and implementation of effective policies and procedures on recruitment, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits packages for the retention of a highly motivated workforce. The Department also coordinates all general staff matters, such as the staff performance appraisal system, promotions, staff training and development, salary administration, grievance and disciplinary administration and staff welfare matters and the staff Management Information System.

Our Mandate

The mandate of the Nigerian Communications Commission is established in the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, which was signed into law by the President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR) on the 8th of July 2003 after being passed by both Houses of the National Assembly. The Act provides the NCC with the capacity to properly carry out its Regulatory functions and activities.
